The midlevel engine in the GLS lineup, the 4.7L power plant develops a robust output of 449 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.
At the top of the engine lineup is a handcrafted AMG® biturbo V8 that pumps out a staggering 577 hp and 561 lb-ft of roque.
The first two engine option come with a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed transmission with shift paddles, while the AMG® engine gets an AMG® SPEEDSHIFT® PLUS 7G-TRONIC 7-speed transmission.
