Service A vs. Service B: What’s the Difference?
Your Mercedes-Benz uses the onboard ASSYST Plus system to track mileage, time, and driving conditions. It then alerts you when Service A or Service B is due. The two visits alternate over the life of your vehicle.
Service A
When it’s due: First at about 10,000 miles or one year, then roughly every 20,000 miles or two years.
What’s included:
- Synthetic engine oil and filter change
- Fluid level checks and corrections
- Tire inflation check
- Brake component inspection
- Maintenance-counter reset
Service B
When it’s due: First at about 20,000 miles or two years, then alternating with Service A.
What’s included:
- Everything in Service A
- Brake fluid exchange
- Cabin combination filter replacement
- Deeper multi-point inspection of key systems
Your exact timing depends on what your ASSYST Plus system and owner’s manual specify. Looking to save on your next visit? Current Service A and Service B offers are posted on our service specials page.

Factory-Certified Care and Your Warranty
Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 2301–2312), routine maintenance at an independent shop does not automatically void your Mercedes-Benz 4-year/50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Still, choosing our Mercedes-Benz Service Center adds real protection. You get factory-trained technicians and Genuine Mercedes-Benz Parts. Every visit is documented in Mercedes-Benz records. And each appointment includes automatic checks for open recalls and software updates.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are your service department hours?
Our Service Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed Sunday. Call (888) 837-5892 to book.
What is the Mercedes-Benz Roadside Assistance number?
Call 1-800-367-6372 (1-800-FOR-MERCEDES) for 24/7 support through Mercedes-Benz Roadside Assistance. This manufacturer-backed service is included while your vehicle is under warranty and covers flat tires, jump-starts, fuel delivery, and towing to an authorized center.
How often should I rotate my tires?
Mercedes-Benz recommends rotating tires about every 10,000 miles or once a year to promote even wear, and rotation can be performed at your scheduled service visit. Your ASSYST Plus system and technician will confirm the right timing for your vehicle.
How often does the engine air filter need to be replaced?
The engine air filter is generally replaced every 30,000 to 45,000 miles, though the exact interval varies by model, and sooner if you frequently drive in dusty or heavy stop-and-go conditions.
Does the ASSYST Plus system adjust for how I drive?
Yes. ASSYST Plus continuously monitors operating conditions, driving habits, and cold-start cycles, adjusting the countdown to your next Service A or Service B so your maintenance timing matches how you actually use your vehicle.
