The base GLC 300 is anchored by a 2.0-liter inline-4 turbocharged engine paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. The setup produces 255 horsepower at 5,800 rpm and 295 lb-ft of torque, with the Integrated Starter-Generator contributing up to 23 additional horsepower and 148 lb-ft of instant electric torque during acceleration. A 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission delivers power smoothly, and the rear-wheel-drive GLC 300 reaches 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. Maximum towing capacity is 3,500 pounds when properly equipped.
The DYNAMIC SELECT system lets drivers switch between Comfort, Sport, and Eco modes to tailor throttle response, transmission behavior, and suspension firmness. Four-wheel independent suspension with selective damping balances composed highway handling with comfort on the rolling hills around Bonita and La Mesa.
Standard interior equipment includes MB-Tex upholstery, heated power-adjustable front seats with memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, and 64-color LED ambient lighting across three zones. The 3rd Generation Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) system pairs a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with an 11.9-inch central touchscreen and adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
